October 21, 2020 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

The Payne-Phalen Community Council will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, October 21st, 7-8 pm to hear more from those who are working with the growing population of unhoused communities and encampments in and around Payne-Phalen. The meeting will be held online via Zoom.

This meeting is set-up as an opportunity for all housed and unhoused residents and community members to talk with local leaders about what the unhoused population needs, what sorts of information and support neighbors need, how you can help, and what to expect as we move into the colder months.

We will be joined by Ramsey County Commissioner Trista MatasCastillo, St. Paul Deputy Mayor Jamie Tincher, Councilmember Nelsie Yang, Ricardo Cervantes of the St. Paul Department of Safety and Inspections, and Brooke Shultz of Radius Health. Additional service providers and city staff may be joining us if possible. These leaders are joining us specifically so that they can take your questions and hear from you and others about your concerns, your thoughts, and your ideas.

Please save the date. Please register. Please join us.

Please register for the meeting by sending your name, address, and e-mail address to district5@paynephalen.org and include the word "unhoused" in your request, so we know which event you are registering for. We will send you a zoom link an hour or so before the start of meeting. If you would like to invite others, that’s great. Please have them register with us by following the same registration procedure, so we can send them the meeting link.

Thank you again for your interest, your patience, and your compassion in these difficult times.
