Our stories have the ability to create systems change. Learn from diverse Story Circle practitioners and educators about how you can use Story Circles to create spaces in your classroom and school. Share experiences, learn from and encourage one another, strengthen relationships, and solve problems. This cultural and inclusive way of listening and sharing stories and experiences leads to stronger classrooms, schools, and communities. During this three-day immersive Institute facilitated by Rose McGee, you will learn the rich cultural traditions of storytelling and story sharing. Learn how to have respectful dialog and strengthen communication, as well as techniques for weaving the humanities and arts into Story Circle. Participants will interact with Story Circle practitioners from the classroom and community and leave with a plan of how to embed Story Circles in your practice and how collectively the process can change school culture and systems change. Due to limited capacity, we are asking educators to complete a short application. Follow the link for more.
