Description
Join Visit Saint Paul for Volun-Tourism Day, a hands-on opportunity to give back to the community we love! In partnership with Urban Roots Minnesota, we're rolling up our sleeves and diving into a park clean-up project to help beautify and restore local green spaces in our East Side metro. It’s a meaningful way to connect with each other, serve the city, and support the inspiring mission of an organization that’s been growing healthy communities through food, conservation, and youth development for over 50 years. Whether you're a tourism pro, a community leader, or just someone who cares deeply about Saint Paul, we’d love for you to be part of this day of shared purpose and people-powered impact. 🌿 Expect to get a little dirty! 🌿 We'll provide supplies, but wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy. Spots are limited: RSVP today and be part of something great! About Urban Roots MN Serving the East Side Since 1996, Urban Roots is a Saint Paul-based nonprofit that operates as one of the largest youth employers on the East Side. Through their three core programs: Market Garden, Cook Fresh, and Conservation, they create economic and educational opportunities for under-resourced, majority BIPOC youth. Their work addresses immediate community needs related to fresh food access, environmental stewardship, and youth wellbeing, all while preparing participants for long-term academic and professional success. 🌱 Mission: To cultivate and empower youth through nature, healthy food, and community. 🌍 Vision: A world where all communities have unlimited access to nature and healthy food. About Visit Saint Paul: Visit Saint Paul is the official convention & visitors bureau for Minnesota's capital city of Saint Paul. Our mission is to generate economic growth for Saint Paul by effectively marketing the RiverCentre campus, Saint Paul, and the region as a preferred convention and tourism destination for all cultures and groups.
