Join us for an evening of small business community and connection in the beautiful Coven St. Paul space!
Spring brings us opportunities for renewal and refocus. Join WomenVenture for Rooted in Community, a small business social with a focus on clarifying and focusing your business strategy.
Add the WomenVenture Overview ticket add-on at checkout and join us before open networking to learn about the services WomenVenture offers to both pre-launch and operational business owners. (5:15-6:00 PM)
Then, join us for open networking with other entrepreneurs. (6:00 - 8:00 PM)
- Meet Twin Cities small business support organizations
- Small business stabilization resources
- Self-led business clarity activities
- Take-home goal setting and planning templates
We will be joined by a number of Twin Cities resource partners including Neighborhood Development Center (NDC), MN Promise Act, Latino Economic Development Center, African Development Center (ADC), and LISC. Join us to connect with representatives from these organizations and learn about the services they offer to Twin Cities entrepreneurs. Learn more about their work in the "Lineup" section below.
We'll also be hosting community engagement activities to support our Twin Cities business community during this difficult time:
- Donation collection for the Hallie Q. Brown Center: Bring one (or more) of the following items to donate to Hallie Q. Brown Community Center's food shelf and be entered to win a $25 gift card to a local business! (Soup, tuna, canned chicken, long grain white or brown rice, pasta sauce, canned diced tomatoes, pasta sauce)
- Letter writing to local representatives: Write letters to local lawmakers urging them to invest in small business support and protections
- Letter writing to impacted business owners: Write letters of support, solidarity, and hope to business owners that have been impacted by federal operations in the Twin Cities
This event is open to both pre- and post-launch entrepreneurs. Whether you're operational or still figuring things out, you're welcome to come make meaningful connections.
