Lockdown Updates

This is transcript from B. Kyle at the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce regarding protocol for the Lockdown:

  1. For immediate help:
    1. If you see something/someone and you want to notify the police, call the non-emergency #: 651-291-1111 including vehicles driving with no plates, people casing your buildings or blocks.
    2. If you have an emergency, dial 911.
    3. If you have a business/infrastructure and you are concerned about its physical security, the EOC has asked that you notify them when/if you are seeing imminent danger (at which time you dial 911). The police and National Guard are not able to share tactical strategies in terms of placement of personnel or planned movements throughout the city.

  1. Commerce wants to ensure our community can access relief as quickly as possible and avoid scammers who may attempt to take advantage of the situation. Please share these with your email lists or newsletters as needed.
  2. Commerce’s Consumer Services Center (CSC) helps consumers with questions, concerns, or complaints involving insurance claims.  The CSC can be reached by phone at (651) 539-1600 or by email at consumer.protection@state.mn.us

 

  1. Ramsey County Small Business Relief Fund: I misspoke on the webinar.  This represents Treasury $ that is committed to COVID-19 impacts.  Cannot be accessed for vandalism/business destruction due to the riots. That said, in conversations with the county this afternoon, businesses who apply for this fund that also are impacted by the riots, will be given priority attention.
