Wellness Kits for Frontline Community Members

Announcement:

???? Our community is in crisis.???? Many of our neighbors, friends, and relatives are processing grief, trauma, and/or putting their minds, bodies, and spirits on the frontlines to seek justice and fight for the Black Lives Matter movement. We are in the midst of both an uprising and a pandemic so, now, more than ever, we need to take care of ourselves and each other.

This week, we are working to create and distribute Warrior Wellness kits for those most affected by the dual crises of COVID-19 and state violence. Each kit will come in a hand-sewn bag and will include smudging herbs (sage and/or sweetgrass), herbal lotions, and stress-relieving herbal supplements. We are currently partnering with North Star Health Collective, Powwow Grounds, and People's Protection Coalition to get these kits distributed to community members in need.

We hope to raise $5,000 to provide 500 kits throughout the metro. Already, over 30 Native women have volunteered to hand-sew the bags for these kits. Join them in supporting this work by clicking this link to make a donation!
