Juan Cervantes State Farm - Diversity is the Original Recipe

Juan Cervantes and his family have been proud East Siders for a long time. A graduate from Macalester and the University of St. Thomas, he worked with CLUES early in his career serving Latino families on the East Side. When he decided to found a multilingual multicultural insurance agency to reflect the diversity of his neighborhood, what he created was one of a kind. The agency he has run since 2003 is still pursuing that aspiration. There is life in that dream that still strives to meet customers right where they are, with services in their own language, with an excellent product. 

And Juan and his team make a commitment to serve the community with joy. On August 9, 2025 they hosted a customer appreciation event that drew on the neighborhood around them to bring a little sunlight through the day's thunderstorms. Burgers and picnic fare, the bounce house, face painting, and piñata were all part of getting outside the agency to meet people while summer lasts, right where they are - just like Juan and his original mission.  

ESABA joined in the fun as customers, Juan's agency has served as ESABA's agent for many years. When we spoke at the event, Juan said he hoped the network would help him spread the word and extend his goodwill. His agency has strong agents hard at work but there is room for more - "If you know people who are multilingual and looking for a place to work hard, serve the community, have fun, and give back, there is room on my team."
