What do you know about franchise fees and their impact on your overall bill and how we pay for our power? Monopoly power company Xcel Energy has negotiated a deal with the Mayor's office to change the way we pay for power. And it will be through franchise fees instead of through percentage of use.
This site is under construction because I don't fully understand this. The Mayor didn't discuss it with the business community broadly so we're playing catch-up. The decision was arrived at Friday September 4. Search for recent news to learn more and share about it with the network on socials. There will be resources below as I learn more.
