What is “Sunray Laundromat”?

Sunray Laundromat drop off and self-service is a brand-new laundry facility that was built in 2018. It is located on 373 Ruth Street N in St. Paul. The building itself means quite a lot to the owners. Never had they imagined back in 1996 that they would be landlords of that very spot. So, years later when the opportunity came to purchase the land and building that would become Sunray Laundromat, they took it. The site that Sunray stands on holds valuable memories and special history for the owners. At the time of the grand opening, the owners were looking for an artist to create a mural to capture their history and connection to the place. Sadly, they were unable to do so before the grand opening, but that option still happens in the foreseeable future.

Since its opening two years ago, Sunray Laundry has become a new member of the East Side Area Business Association. ESABA strives “to create opportunities, educate, and advocate success for St. Paul’s Diverse East Side Business Community." They are just one of the recipients of this year's State Farm sponsorships for membership through the Good Neighbor Grant Program.

Community outreach

"Saving You Time, With Friendly Close to Home Laundry Services," this is the motto of Sunray Laundromat. This motto is on full display every day that the doors are open to the community from 6am to 1am. The facility prides itself on providing high-quality laundry services to the St. Paul area. Upon the group's visit to the laundromat,  the atmosphere was well lit and inviting. There was a feeling of community in the air without haven’t yet engaged in small talks or meeting the person in charge. The facility was clean and organized. The sounds of customers buzzing around from the washer to dryer resemble that of a beehive. Only one word could fully describe the scene at hand and that is the word, community. Since it’s opening, Sunray laundromat has used their services and amenities to give back to the community in which they serviced. One way they give back to the community is through the Sunray Promotion Wash Wednesday. The purpose of this promotion is to offer additional laundry discounts on their already great prices. Every Wednesday, with just $3.00 members of the community can wash and dry their laundry fast and easy on the speed queen laundry machines equipped with a three-way cycle.

Services

Sunray laundromat offers great deals and reliable laundry service to the St. Paul, MN area. Their goal is to provide high-quality service and amenity-rich experience for all customers. This is done through their self-service and drop-off and pick up laundry service.  The drop-off and pickup service is geared towards those that are busy and do not have time for laundry.  As the name implies, customers can drop off the laundry, and pick it up when it’s ready, without scheduling any appointments. The self-service on the other hand offers various sizes of machines to fit any load. The cost of the self-service varies. To make customers' laundry experience fun, easy, and efficient. The facility provides free WIFI service, free parking, and full vending machine service. 

 Rental space next door

 The building that the Sunray laundromat is located in, has a total of 6600 ft.² of area. The laundromat alone is 4000 ft.². The other 2600 ft.² is accounted for by the space next-door and upstairs that is for rent. The person in charge of the space informed us that they are just waiting for the right tenant to "fit like a puzzle piece in the community."
