East Side Business Awards: Winners Announced!

ESABA is proud to announce our 2024 Business Awards sponsored by University of St. Thomas Family Business Center. Jon Keimig from St. Thomas joined Paris Dunning to present Awards at our Annual meeting on February 13th. These outstanding plaques were donated by Laser Magic Inc - Accumark Inc

Commitment to Community Award: ANEW Chemical Health Services offers a comprehensive range of programs to support women at every stage of their recovery. They have residential treatment programs and flexible outpatient options as well. This past May they opened a Childcare Center and this has truly been a game-changer, removing barriers for mothers eager to start their recovery journey. They have expanded adding staff including alums from their program and acquiring additional sober housing. In 2024 they were featured for a 3rd year in a row on "America's Best Addiction Treatment Centers" by Newsweek – in 2024 they ranked #4. 

East Side Business of the Year:  Hmong Village is home to over 200 small businesses, making it a vital hub for the community. It offers a diverse range of services, including food, produce, retail, urgent care, a pharmacy, and DMV services, addressing many of the daily needs of residents. Recently recognized as the “Innovative Retailer of the Year 2024” by MN Retailers Association, this member is committed to enhancing their facilities to better serve both the community and local entrepreneurs. Their ongoing support for the community includes donations to non-profit organizations, cultural education for youth, and partnerships with local businesses focused on recycling and green initiatives.
